The healer that hears, but doesn’t listen. The healer that knows, but doesn’t feel. It is as if she cannot sit in her feelings, to feel what she feels. This is not a time to be running around, exhausting yourself with useless activity. That it is not her job to manage death.
The family is a bit in shambles, and he needs them to come together, to have a collective let go so that they can heal themselves and their trauma, but she ain’t about it. She does not think she has any problem or trauma, and she got it. We urge her to stop and take time to be in it, the feeling and the silence, and to know that is the most important thing. Nothing matters, not even travel.
They are being asked to come together for a last reunion but they are not doing that, and with so much schedule and travel, the woman needs to stop her pretense and sit in all the stuff that she carries and still has not let go.
It is really hard for people to hear when they think they got the answer. She goes through the motions. She knows all the talking points and she is not doing the work, and now is work. His passing will be hard for her, and it is better to deal with unfinished and unhealed parts while he is still alive, but they are wasting their opportunity and not using it wisely and kindly.
All she needs is to sit with him, even if it is just her, sit and talk to him. Talk like the little girl that needs to be healed. Talk like the adult woman that is finding herself. Talk like the daughter, just talk and listen. Time is ticking, embrace all the love that awaits you from him.
