Is one man in contradiction, he says he wants one thing but then does another. He is in a difficult place, and while he talks and listens his life is not popping as he would want it to.

He wants happiness but does not know how to do that. He wants a lot of things, but oftentimes he gets into his way. His bravado, or perceived one is false. He is wounded and trying to find a way to deal, to have meaning in his life, but he does not know how, all his attempts have been unsuccessful.

You talked about him, his energy floated up in a relaxed way. He wants to do better in life but does not know how. He thinks about you, and doesn’t know how to approach you. He is like in a bind, not quite happy, looking for an anchor but he is just there, could be doing so much and better, but he is not.
