The tall Barbo woman that once had a glorious history and past, but things are no longer the way they used to be. The limelight is gone, the little black man no longer entertains her and she is besought herself.

Bridget, the tall, tanned lady that once dazzled, no longer does. Attention disappearing can be contracting, making you feel insignificant, somewhat finite.

Bridget is really in old age, and loves her animal, the only constant companion that has never left, but has stayed with her through every stage. They are the loyal friends she never had, and a source of joy, laughter, and happiness. Old age for older white actresses or socialites can be debilitating but that is where life is for Brigitte.

Oh well, and that is how that goes.
